An Australian friend of mine to whom I showed these photos made the following comment:

My advice is for everyone to take as many beautiful photos of snow and ice and glaciers as soon as possible so you'll be able to show your grandchildren. By the time they grow up climate change may have eliminated snowy winters.

Same advice for coral reefs and low-lying islands -- explore them now while we still have them.
