Hi Star
Be easy on yourself. Blessings and love
Ruby
Many thanks you guys,it was such a silly thing to do,I was rushing and ran into the leg of the kitchen chair (no shoes on),the leg completely parted my little toe and 4th toe,it was almost at a 90 degree angle, have had the ice on all day and could only wear flip flops.
Ouch!! Poor you.
So easily done though. Did my big toe running up my Mum's stairs in her new house - in bare feet of course! Embarrassing thing was hobbling in to casualty to get it checked - I was a student nurse there at the time! 😮
You can imagine the jibes from my colleagues! :rollaugh:
Sending you hugs & healing - Hope it gets better soon.
Ouch!! Poor u. I shall send you some reiki today. Big hugs xxx
Don't forget good old arnica, rescue remedy, homoeopathic symphitum (not necessarily all together).
Icing does have its uses, but once the pain starts to ease then I suggest stop using it. It's all very well bringing down inflammation, but inflammation is a healing process, so not to be feared in itself, don't want to stop it altogether.
Other than that epsom salts foot baths (hot, surprisingly) may help after the first week or two, but if they make it worse then stop, obviously. Big cupful of epsom salts (magnesium sulphate, you can get it from tack suppliers or on the www) in a hot footbath, for 30 mins, add cool water towards the end.
Drink plenty of water and take good care of your diet while healing (I'm sure you do).
If you get knock-on problems resulting from altered gait, weightbearing, twists in the pelvis, back pain, swelling in the legs headaches etc, or if it's not healing as it should then see your friendly osteopath.
(Usual caveats apply, personal consultation always recommended, see your health advisor, swelling may go up as well as down...)
that must be so painful star99, when we have pain in the feet it affects the whole of us.
