Hi all
I use Ecover washing powder and fabric softener at the moment and have done for ages but I have to wash at 40-60 to get things clean. Is it better for the environment to carry on or swap to something like Aerial that promises to remove stains at really low temperatures?
I don't like products tested on animals which is the main reason I swapped in the first place but now don't know what to do.
Thanks

I'm the same, but I just keep using the Ecover and wash the clothes at 30 or 40... I have eczema so can't use any of the scented harsher powders anyway...
Just been to Tesco and their non-bio washing tablets are now phosphate free so they are better for our water systems. they are also supposed to work at 30 so will give them a go.
Ecover sadly use GM ingredients in many of their products now , which to me anyway defeats the purpose of their name to be eco friendly , and have recently lost their vegan soceity approval as they've been conducting animal experiments and using rabbits blood .
Have you tried simply washing, I use these and they are very good, also approved by the vegan society meaning that it wont be tested on animals nor would have any of the ingredienst specifically for this product.
They are available in supermarkets and some independant health stores.
