Hi, anyone got an opinion as to how efficient rotary washing driers are?
I always used washing lines at my old house but will need to get a pole erected to do so at this new house - so wondered about getting a rotary drier instead.
I've tended to think that the washing is bunched on top each other so wouldn't dry as easily as being well spread across a proper line.
Any experience of both or any opinions?
I just love to see washing flapping on a line on a bright breezy day. In fact I also enjoy hanging out the washing, enjoying the colours and looking at the garden. (I don't like it when it starts raining and I have to rush out to rescue it.) I've no experience of a rotary line I'm afraid....

Hi vetiveria.for years i had a long washing line and it stretched from one end of the garden to the other,as you know dries perfectly,but when it rains you have to make your way down the line to get it in quick!
I was quite adamant that i didnt want a rotary line,for the same reasons, i felt that the inner washing wouldnt get a fair drying,well it does dry fine,i do hang it a particular order,smallest stuff in the middle bigger as you come out.but it is worth investing in a really good quality one, mine is ,although i cant remember the name at the moment.ive had it 9 years ,its not rusted, as l leave it out all the time,the line itself is still in good condition.i like the washing flapping in the wind( smacking your face as you go to grab it LOL)
but mine flaps about just more orderly!. i dont regret having it just takes time adjusting to it.x:D
At my old house we had a rotary line and my washing just wouldn't dry so was really pleased with a lovely long line at this house. Now a neighbour 2 doors away had a rotary line and her washing dried quicker than mine on my line. So think it all depends on where they are in the garden and which way the wind blows.
I've had a rotary and while it did the job, i much prefer a long line ( which i have had for almost 6 years) as i can stretch my bedsheets and bath towels right out, and bringing it in is less hassle as i just move from one end to another in one fell swoop.:D
Also, when windy, the washing on the rotary tended to get in a right tangled mess.
