RE: global warming issues

I just don't know what to think anymore about recycling and global warimng - I try to do my bit, recycle, walk rather than drive on short journeys, and refuse to fly (this is more due to a phobia of flying though)! Yet all I see is evidence that what I am doing is one very tiny drop in the ocean, and there are occasions when I do wonder why I bother.

The recycling system from my city council is next to uesless we get a plastic bag to put all of our recyclable waste in, and the list of what can't go in there is longer than the list of what can.

On top of this the governement is in reality doing nothing to help people be more green - examples of this green building materials cost 50% more than normal building supplies, members of governement constantly flying about in planes etc - they should really be planting an entire forest to offset there omissions - public transport is often inconvenient, slow, smelly and very expensive. I drive to my mum's 600mile round trip as it costs me about £60 in petrol to catch a train would be £120return and could be even higher. On top of that I woould have to change train about 4 times and can only leave when the train is running.

I want to be more green but it would be better if the governement could make it easier.

AND also organic food is so expensive I would like to eat more local produce and organic food but just cannot afford to and Tescos (please dont stone me) are a lot cheaper and my shopping bill still comes out at about £80 a week.
