RE: Book Recommendations

LOL I was gonna put my 2 cents in but noticed 2 books were already listed. Clean house, clean planet & Better basics.
Both have excellent recipes & breaks it down for you. Better basics I really like 'cos it has how to make i.e. playdoh, glue, paints, etc.
Toxic Overload by Paula Baillie-Hamilton is another good one.
Love,
ReinaRoelle

There's a really good book 'The All New Green Consumer Guide' by Julia Hailes. It has lots of useful information and tips about going green. There are details of companies and products that are green and ethical. There is also a companion website for updates.

EcoKids: Raising Children who Care for the Earth by Dan Chiras is a favorite of mine. It is a great guide for those of us parents trying to raise children to be socially and environmentally responsible. Oh yeah, and its published by New Society Publishers and printed on 100% Post Consumer Recycled Paper using vegetable based inks!

I like 'what's in this stuff' by Pat Thomas - it gives lots of info on what is in the things we buy and why we should avoid them.

and I love the small book, 'Reduce, reuse, recycle' by Nicky Scott; which tells you what to do with your 'rubbish'

and 'heat' by George Monbiot is brilliant 🙂

I also read through 'life stripped bare' bu Leo Hickman in an afternoon - I was hooked!
