Go MAD (Go Make A Difference)
365 dailyways to save the planet.
£3.99
The mainstream media likes to pretend that living a more ecologically responsible and sustainable life is either more expensive, or more difficult than contemporary culture can allow. The Ecologist's editors disagree fundamentally. They believe that a more ecologically responsible and sustainable lifestyle is not only less expensive in most regards but also more enjoyable and above all happier! To this end they've compiled this pocket guide packed with 365 practical and useful tips on how we can all take daily actions that will benefit our environment, ecology and community. The tips have been collated with the kind help of hundreds of excellent ethically aware companies, organizations, movements and charities. And for each of the tips, there's a straightforward reason as to why they are so important. So there really are no reasons for not adopting each and every tip. Quite simply Go Make A Difference seeks to narrow the gap between the principles and practices of ecological living. So what are you waiting for: Go MAD Go Make A Difference!

Go MAD 2
Over 500 ways to save the planet!

Why go m.a.d.? In his foreword, Tony Juniper, Executive Director of Friends of the Earth writes: 'The greatest threat to our planet is people believing that the decline of our common environment is inevitable. Nothing could be further from the truth. If we all play a small part, big change is possible. Go on, Go Make a Difference'. This new edition of Go MAD! is even more dynamic and empowering than the first, containing 500 practical tips - mostly new, some updated - to help you become an agent of change. The 14 chapters cover all aspects of life - from birth to death via shopping, holidays, DIY and petcare - for there is nothing we do as human beings that doesn't touch the wider world. Not just a guide to ecological living, this is also a guide to ecological renewal, with vital information on how we can all get involved in pushing for change at a policy level. As Zac Goldsmith says, 'Combined, this process is irresistible'.
