HI All

Not sure if this has been done before so apologies if it has. But I thought I 'd start a thread on your top 5 favourite films. I don't necessarily mean the best films ever made but the five that mean most to you and whether they left a lasting impression on your life and ones that you see again and again.

To kickstart, my top five (in no particular order are):

1. West Side Story [great music/choreography, innovative and way ahead of its time.
2. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - I was brought up in N London and this was always a great escapist film. Great songs and dancing and plenty of blue skies.
3. 12 Angry Men - Henry Fonda at his most magical. Great script, tense.
4. Top Hat - Fred and Ginger - what can I say - elegant, brilliant dancing and sets - such talent.
5. Rebecca - Olivier at his best. Dark and atmospheric. great story.

OK. That's my two penn'th. Look forward to hearing what yours are.

Love

1. Dirty Dancing - because the dancing & music - still get excited to this day thinking about this one!

2. Lost Boys - again, brings back the good old happy days memories!!

3. Colour Purple - Emotional rollercoaster - very powerful

4. Face Off - amazing acting with a frightening story line "of science going too far"

RE: Top five favourite films

Wow guys!!!

I've been away for few days and returned to see a great list of some wonderful films. I'm glad it started a bit of a discussion. Just love some of the films mentioned above, Breakfast at Tiffany's was going to go on my list and so was Singing in the Rain - you can see what my style of film is can't you. I'm a fan of a good ol' fashioned film.

Great replies peeps - thanks:D
