Anyone seen this film yet? Have just seen recently (can't resist a good ghost story!). I thought it looked amazing, has a few good shocks, but really lacked depth compared to the book.
I saw a theatre production of it a couple of years ago - there were a couple of "jump in your seat" moments, but not really scary....
I watched the 1989 version with Pauline Moran ('Miss Lemon' in 'Poirot') in the title role. Must say, this was one of the most scariest ghost stories I've ever seen, and I'm not scared easily. This version's hard to get hold of now, but you could try Amazon.
Patsy.
saw it last night, was expecting a twist somewhere...fell a bit flat, in my opinion anyway.

Yes, I've been after that one, have heard it's the scariest version! It's probably hard to get because the play is still running.

Can recommend the book if you every fancy a good spooky read...... or Susan Hill has written another good ghosty one called "The Mist in the Mirror".

Too lazy to read but thanks anyway Mouse.
I saw this movie a while back and it was really good. I wanted to see it originally to see how Daniel Radcliff did outside of Harry Potter. He did a really good job and the movie has a good story.
"A widowed lawyer travels to a secluded village on an important assignment, and encounters a vengeful ghost with mysterious motives. After losing his beloved wife in childbirth, young barrister Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) was nearly consumed by grief. A haunted widower father, he raises his young son with the help of his devoted nanny."
A synopsis for The Woman in Black. Never see it yet though, but i'm planing to buy a copy of this and watch it this weekend. 🙂
