Had this book for my birthday and couldn't put it down. It's a sort of Dan Brown/James Redfield style novel.
I sort of twigged one aspect about halfway through but nevertheless it was a good read and is apparently the first of an already written trilogy, with book 2 due out next year. I don't want to say too much about it the story as I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone reading it.
Have to say the language is a bit colourful, which is something I don't usually like.
Wondered if anyone else had read it, especially Reiki practitioners, and wondered what you thought.
You've got me intrigued now, will have a look for it
Havent read it but this is about the third time this week i have came across it so will prob go and have a nosy now.

I read the sample on my kindle which covers the prologue and just a bit over chapter 4 and my immediate thoughts were that this is going to really warp and twist people's views as reiki as a holistic healing practice.
Does it somehow save reiki's reputation, if so I may buy it lol
Where can I buy this book? I'm in London now for the whole month.
Yes Finalshine I feel it does, but it also made me think about Reiki in a different way, especially due to the way one of the characters feels about it. I shall say no more than that
Oh and it won't be everyone's cup of tea either.....
I thought it was okay. I dont think it will add much to the general understanding of reiki except maybe more suspicion/misunderstanding. I felt it was more a story with reiki as a by product. A bit unbelieveable in parts and i also twigged where it was going quite early on. Did make me think about the symbols a bit.
Not a bad read though. The next ones will be interesting.

Thank you so much Meurighj for the recommendation. I am an avid reader, and really enjoy reading books that I would not automatically pick up.
Coming from a non-reiki background I found the subject fascinating. It was certainly a page turner! My only negative was the poor writing quality. I feel the writing was a bit 'thin' and underdeveloped - could have done with more guidance from his Editor. But on the positive, it shows lots of potential and I would certainly like to read the next one in the trilogy when it comes out. Thank you again. xx
Found this thread a while back and thought I'd say hi and thanks for all the comments (the kind and constructive). The second and third books are both out now (Fear of the Fathers and A Sacred Storm), so if anybody's read them would be good to hear your views. I'm hoping I've given a balanced view of Reiki, but the books are really about more than just Reiki itself. Reiki for me is a really good starting point to the spiritual world as it's safe and it makes you feel good, but it can lead to so much more. I feel the books are more a discussion of where we're at as a race in our spiritual development than an instruction manual for any particular practice. They're also just good reads I hope!
Have read both books two & three and was enthralled!! Won't say any more than that as I could give too much away and spoil it for other readers.
