Hi everyone
I'm looking for some good introductory books to Indian Head Massage, On Site Massage and Sports Massage.
Has anyone got any good recommendations?
Many thanks in advance for any help. 🙂

Hi Emma,
I like 'Indian Head Massage' by Narendra Mehta. It has very clear photographs of the moves and uses the same terms for the moves as my tutors did (or they used his!) e.g., 'windscreen wiper'.
I got mine from
No information on the other therapies I'm afraid.

On IHM - def. go for the Narendra Mehta one . He is the orginator of the therapy and all other qualifications are based on his moves (ITEC / VTCT)
if you are doing one of these then Indian Head Massage - a practical guide by M Burnham-Airey and A O'Keefe covers the practicalities they are looking for in exams ie Skin , hair , A&P , health and safety , client care etc. along with all of the moves.

Hi Emma,
I would agree with the Narendra Mehta recommendation. Check out Amazon as they have it on offer at the moment and I've found the quality of their second hand books really good.
All the best in your search,

the five people you meet in heaven by mitch albon - an excellent book, very useful and uplifting considering about death and the afterlife. The end a surprise well worth a read. Food for thought. As you can tell i love this book sad and uplifting, thought provoking an emotional rollercoaster with heart and drama. I could go on about it all night but id better not!!!!!!!!!![sm=dogrun.gif][sm=crazyjacky_seilchensmiley1.gif]

I am reviewing How To Be A Successful Therapist' by Celia Johnson with Helen Parkins. I think it is really useful for both new and established complementary therapists. The book is full of good advice and handy tips covering every aspect of complementary therapy practice.

I've built up quite a good-sized library over many years, and this is the best book on the subject that I've ever come across.
