I looked at the link you posted - and was intrigued as to why all of the images / impressions were from the side...
Hi, Sol. I thought you'd know the pictures on that link. They're from the book 'At The Feet of The Masters' by 'David Anrias', a penname of a Theosophical artist who also, if I recall right, crops up in the three Initiate books by Cyril Scott. The webmaster got the one wrong which he called 'Master Hilarion'. It's someone else. Hilation is only represented there as he was as Saint Paul. Unfortunately a great tenth picture from the book, of Saint Germain, isn't included in that link. Anrias received a message from each of ten Masters and was able to sketch them too. (The Serapis is not as Serapis looks, but as he would look as a Seraphim, or something impressionistic like that. The Jesus picture there is good to me, I love the Morya - such presence - click on it to expand it. And it's interesting how artists all agree on how Maitreya looks - in fact just the same as the usual Catholic depiction of the Christ.
Since in the book the pictures are spread out on different pages, I had never noticed that they are all from the same side, yes!

Yes indeed he does speak and I agree a man of few words but profound when they are spoken.
Sometimes there are many more words with specific purpose at his request and not mine.

I just loved your description -
He could have been a name-dropper: Did I ever tell you of the time Moses and I went up on the mountain?
He could have been a showoff: Hey, want me to beam you into the twentieth century?
He could have been a smart-aleck: I know what you're thinking. Want me to prove it?
He could have been highbrow and upiddity: I've got some property on Jupiter...
Jesus could have been all of these, but he wasn't. His purpose was not to show off but to show up
It really made me smile, and I agree with all of the rest you wrote - a wonderful insight.
For me, the physical image of Jesus is very limited. We know he was a 'Nazareene' i.e. he didn't cut his hair of beard, also knowing where he came from and would have dark skin and most likely dark hair. (so much for the American blonde hair/pale skin image that we so often see on TV). We also know that he spent most of his ministry 'on the road' so I guess he would look pretty weathered.
More importantly for me, the image of Jesus is not about what he looked like, but of the mark he left on this world an in my life.
As He himself said:
"I am the way, the truth, the life. No-one comes to the Father except by me"
Also "I am the resurrection and the life"
I love the idea that this gift that Jesus brings is there for us all - if only we would receive it...
