I have been following this thread with interest and from my perspective, the roman catholic faith is not the most valid moral instructor of the masses - it is a power house built to control the masses and mold them into their way of thinking.
In case anyone is interested, I was raised a roman catholic and have first hand experience of its teachings. There is truth in most religions, however, most religions have been bent to suit those in power at the time.
Regardless of my comments I still see the Catholic Church as the most valid Moral instructor of the masses
In the case of roman catholics, the power house is the vatican, with their rigid and unworkable ideas and ideals. Doq made an excellent point about the aids epidemic in Africa, yet we have priests condemning the use of condoms, where is the common sense in that, are they blind? They would rather see people die, children orphaned, than concede that there is a huge problem. Are these the leaders we place our faith and trust in?
Moralman, How can you say " I think that contraception should be legalised to a degree" - it is either legalised or it isn't, and you only have to go back to the aids epidemic to realise it makes sense to legalise it.
I am a firm believer that the rise in sexual crimes, rape, paedophilia has a direct link to the teachings of the Church, that sex is somehow unholy, and only permitted within marriage. I once read somewhere that if there was a room full of people, we would rather see them make war than make love - I tend to agree with that comment. We have been told over and over again by certain religions that sex is so wrong outside marriage, that over the generations we have gotten a warped idea about sex, and this in turn is being played out in society. Sex isn't wrong, sex is holy and wonderful and God intended for us to make love. Even the Church can't live by its unrealistic rules and regulations and their sexual antics are disgusting and outrageous, yet they hide behind their skirts!

The chuch is sick, that is my opinion, and we are finally waking up and realising that we have been fed a pack of lies, in order to control the masses. We have been forced to give up our personal responsiblity and allow a power institution to tell us what is right and wrong, what is acceptable. We can only liberate ourselves when we start listening to our inner voice, the voice that has the answers, then and only then will we be in touch with our truth. We have always had a direct link to God/Spirit/Creator, but we are made to feel that the only way to God is through his son Jesus - there are many paths to God, and each individual must find his/her own path.
The gifts that God gave us, psychic ability, the ability to work with Spirit has been condemned by the church, it's time we took our power back and utilised these gifts. It takes courage to follow ones own path, not to be swayed by what those in the church are telling you, it's much easier to allow someone to think for you, it takes away a lot of the hard work.
The church has kept us in chains for so long, its time we broke free. We inherently know what's right and wrong, we just need to trust ourselves, yet the church doesn't want us to trust ourselves, for fear of finding out the truth, it would rather have us in chains.
No disrespect is intended to anyone, these are merely my opinions. The church will fall, it is only a matter of time.

Its time on world level drop the religions and return to the essence of all the teachings
In love of all forms and the integration on all knowledge the essence of the way of true spirit will be found
It lives in all humans in there hearts when you lose the fear control return to the truth of love that sits in the dna of all men
When the races of man see all as brothers and all will walk in the essence again
Walk in love of all man no mater what fear it strikes in your heart
In love compassion and understanding the essence will release

An eye for an eye is second dimensional thinking
unconditional love is 6
But the Christ conchioness say there are no dimensions
There isnt but you understand that way of thinking and is good way of seeing it
Like if you can see the short time you are in the 6 and the short times you are in the 2
You can gage the way you be and see that thinking serves you
So if I was going to be killed its all right to be in the second
There is no right or wrong way to be but if I was here I would be in the first dimension survival ha ha

so who says religions don't polarise people! the lord save me from churches of any shape or form, just reading these posts reminds me why i'm not in one.
