RE: Spiritualist church

Dear Therapeutic Angel,

Many years ago I went to a Spiritualist Church in Smethwick, W. Mids.

It was like any other Church with a 'Sermon', Prayers, Hymns at the end the Medium that was visiting (or the local medium) gave messages to the people in the congregation from those who had passed over.

The first time I went (with a friend) I received a message but my friend didn't. My friend was a bit miffed because she had been attentive throughout the service and I had kept nodding off (I was on tranquilisers at the time).

I felt totally at home in the Church and in the Service and after that went most Sunday evenings and to the healing session on a Wednesday afternoon. I had been diagnosed with blocked fallopian tubes after a laparoscopy. When I left the Birmingham area I had to start fertility treatment all over again - the first test they sent me for was the tube test and it came out clear. Unfortunately the market town I moved to did not have a Spiritual Church and I stopped going.

I have moved again and there is a Spiritual Church in the next town although it is not held in a church building as the Smethwick one was, it is in the local Community Hall. I pop in on occasions but do not feel the need to go weekly as I did. I find that my belief in God is such now that I can commune with him/her at any time in any place as I can with my father and other friends who have passed over.

RE: Spiritualist church

you go in, and then you sing a couple of hyms,

There will be a little talk and then another hym.

After this the chosen medium will stand up and tune into spirit, and see who has messages for their loved ones.

This does not mean to say everyone will get a message as some of these churches get really full.

If a message comes through for you, you tell the medum yes, i can take that. But do not give him everything as whats the point of a message coming through if u give him all the info:D

He she will then move on, before closing

Somtimes there is an open circle, where people from the church sit around and give messages, those who are developing and some whi have had no development at all!

It can be exciting, just do not expect to get a message every time

RE: Spiritualist church

Therapeutic Angel,

It depends on what you expect and want from a Spiritualist Church, in the same way your needs and expectations from a CofE church or a Catholic one. It must resonate with you.

Everyone has given good accounts of how they operate, and if this is right for you, go for it. If the medium comes to you, don't 'feed' him/her otherwise the link is damaged; allow the medium to give you the message from spirit. Don't be tempted to divulge all.

Above all, enjoy the experience.

Love,
Patsy.
