RE: Masters experiences...

Hello David,

This is why I gave up my trance work. I wasn't convinced that what I was receiving was true, and I couldn't guarantee that my 'ego' wasn't getting involved somewhere.

To carry on like this, knowing that perhaps ego is getting in the way, is deceit in my view. I have discovered that I have a much clearer channel now that I don't work in trance.

Love,
Patsy.

I think ego is the main thing here, I admit there are the true channellers that will channel master etc and give true and accurate details but there are so many people nowadays saying that they are channelling these masters and what they say seems very personal that the ego is controlling. I do some medium work but only for myself, and never really in trance, or if I have afeeling that what I am getting will help the person I am reading for but that happens rarely!

I think there are so many gifted people around who have let this get in the way, Derek acora being one, that they themselves cannot see that the ego is controlling, they just see the rewards that it can bring in!

Just my view on things

With love

I think such self-honesty is extremely laudible, and also healthy. The opposite to that is when people clamour for attention and -- the unconscious knows they'll get attention if all these 'names' start coming through them. So there's something subtly dishonest to self there in the psyche IMHO. And so about 10,000 people on earth all claim to channel the same names, though each brings forth completely contradictory information to the others of course.

That self-honesty you speak of is so important. It is important in many areas of clairvoyance etc. For example, I believe in past lives and that they can be recalled, but error often creeps in here too. One person I worked with, a scientist, was reliving the past but once he came out of the light trance and reflected back he said in all honesty, "To be honest, I think my unconscious was making up the details of the whole thing because it felt pressured to." When we looked up the time period and the person, the recall was indeed all fiction and unreal. At least he could self-reflect and be honest about it.

I'm somewhat saddened, on channeled messages, that a couple of Americans I know have gone 'wrong' in that direction now too. They are real quality people, wonderful hearts, and have been admired for their lovely personalities for 20-30 years. But now suddenly they are on center-stage with messages from those names coming through, and it's a travesty. In fact, it's just as Sol indicates: rather than the messages being of the quality we know they would be if authentic, they are just (a) spiritual platitudes (b) numerous references back to the channelers i.e. follow them, they are wonderful, what courage they have, and (c) judgmental statements about events of the past and people the channelers knew and served with in the past. The latter are of course just unresolved issues within the peoples' own psyches, and 'They' would never spend time or energy on such subjects to such a degree or naming such personal statements about other individuals.

Misrepresentation is rife, but it'll be there for a long time yet as it seems to be endemic in human nature. IMHO very, very few of those who quote 'Them' are authentic. If 'They' were still mortal rather than Adepts, no doubt it'd be easy to be considerably miffed at a thousand channelers speaking supposedly your words when they are not!!

Brent...

I think people find places on the Internet like HP, because it was the right time for them to do so.

Yes this site is considerably larger than it was a couple of years ago, but there are still a lot of the 'old' people here who have learned and grown with the site...

Some of the 'oldies' have moved on, I believe because it was the right thing for them to do and the right time for them to go. Not because HP has lost something. I think HP is gaining a lot every day with every new individual who registers and enriches it with a new and fresh opinion, ideas and wisdom...

Any place that stagnates and do not grow, IMO, is unhealthy.

Not all of us like change, I am one of those, but I do realise that change is important and healthy. And maybe instead of criticising, one should stand back and see what it is we can learn from the situation...

There are still people on here (oldies) like Lightwinds who channels and she is hugely appreciated and respected and I have not yet noticed anybody criticise her for the lovely selfless wisdom she shares here with everybody on HP. We even have a new person on HP who regularly channel and who is also very appreciated, if I remember his name, I will add it here...

Criticism can be healthy and it is good to share different opinions. HP is a good place for hearing and sharing a wide and varied array of opinions and ideas… One should not take these personally. If you don’t agree say so and learn and move on…

I personally think a lot of valid arguments were expressed above on both sides. They are personal experiences and personal views. And each one of them interesting and very eloquently put by each and every member who posted on this thread.

I hope we all can take what 'works' for us and shelve the rest that doesn't...

Just my 2p as a member…
