In reply to post #114:
So the wife is, arguably, in a time of "darkness" (or negativity) for her which will (hopefully)eventually lead her into a more enlightened state - a more positive frame of mind.

Hopefully, this will be the case. And the man may (if indeed it may be the case that a third party was involved)realize that the lower brain is best not depended upon in crisis situations.....(sorry, that was a bit of a joke and terribly judgemental - oh, okay and sexist...but the male sex do have a tendency to thinking with the brain that they keep below their belts........just watch this space now!!!!)[sm=devil-smiley-002.gif];)

Seriously, though, I do agree that negative situations can provide the stimulus for growth providing that person recognises it and just doesn't want to wallow in bitterness.

From personal experience, I can agree with that. My greatest lessons have come from negative experiences, although now I am changing it around and choosing to learn from joyful experiences! 😀 Bit of difficulty persuading the ego-mind to change its patterns though... 😉

I agree too, Glenys and Moonfeather, my greatest learning has also been from things, people, situations and life which has gone wrong, or not worked out. From these I learn, from the good times, I just get respite[sm=animal-smiley-085.gif]
