If it was not for the darkness how would one have learned the lessons in life to enable one to move into the light?
I suppose one can move away from darkness if one wish to, but darkness will always be there...
But I also believe that the duality is needed for a balance at all times.
We need positive and negative, we need male and female, we need summer and winter, we need there to be life and death, sunshine and rain, and so on... The one compliments the other...

An interesting question
One in which I will explain the best I can. Last night I was at meditation, and I was told that to experience the light and to appreciate it, you have needed to come through the dark and shadow.
Think of a flower, at first it starts in the ground, as a seed, but that seed struggles and struggles until it comes up through the ground and then feels the warm sun upon its beautiful petals.
We are like these flowers at times, when we struggle, doubt and do not have trust, it is a clear indication that something far more brighter, something that will cast *that* doubt away is about to come.
The question that should be asked it *does evil exist*
Intention
Thought
Action
In that order, is it not evil intentions carried out to make us evil.
There is indeed shadow all around us, but we as enlightned souls and to those ho are acknowledging their path, this shadow is not to be feared or doubted, indeed many beautiful things come from it
Strength
courage
trust
faith.
My past has been very dark I have not been a good girl/man in some of my past aspects. And it is this acknowledging and accepting that makes me strong, and enables me to help others, as I have been there, I have bore witness to many things
So what do shadows do in the light?
They disapear right...
So why not shine light upon the shadows that there are around like in iraq and in the third world countries.
It is all about equilibriam cycles within cycles, birth death rebirth. This links in with mother earth increasing in its vaibration and rebirthing herself[sm=offtopic.gif]
