As for being asked to turn my light down I was actually told to turn the floodlights off by someone who was angry with me.
Maria, hope you don't mind me butting in here but I feel it is your duty to shine as brightly as you can, whenever you can. It may be that the angry person couldn't bear your light because it showed them their shadow! 😉 Speaking from experience, I think we spend too much time as it is, hiding our light. If you are not deliberately harming someone with it, then do rejoice in your spirit! 😀

What a wonderful thread this is!. So lovely to'hear' from you Caroline and your wonderful guide.
Eight years ago when I started my healing path my Reiki Master took me to one side and told me that I had a very strong light and to go and shine it on humanity. I wasn't too sure what he meant at the time but now I'm beginning to understand a little more. My 'job' seems to be to wake up light/energy workers to the reason why they are here now and to help them start their spiritual path, this I find very humbling and such an honour. I am truly blessed.
I look forward to reading other HP members posts on this thread,
