i believe that we all incarnate with a purpose and that we spend most of our time trying to figure out what it is! we have total free will and our choices then determine the paths available to us. obviously, every choice creates new options. therefore, we are basically creating our lives as we go along. when we make choices that resonate with our original purpose everything falls into place and vice versa. Bit like we have a jigsaw of a picture but the pieces fit together in more than one way. Others in our soul family choose to incarnate at the same time and which ones we get to meet with and be influenced by depends on which choices we've made. I am totally convinced that my daughter was my parent in another life and she hasn't forgotten it!

my view on tempting fate is, i live my life as best i can on my own invention, captain of my own ship. however if i layback and go with the flow of the world to much, then maybe i will be swept along by others actions instead of my own and fate (viewing fate as a third party).
hope your still with me!
now if i say "hope i dont have an accident on my bike" others will comment "oooh, shouldnt temp fate" i could look at it as given fate ideas for when im not behind the wheel of my life.
does that make sense, mmmmmmm.
i like to think i make enough effort in my life that fate feels no need to intervene.
