RE: Colours

Great Links, thanks Laura I had forgotten about the lovely thread Lightwinds did on colours a while back, thanks for reminding me! 😉
I had my colours done many years ago now and i am a summer, which i think you are too Laura, i bought several books on the subject at the time and learnt a great deal, i was fascinated by colour even then , when the colour analysis is done , they check eye colour, skin colour and natural hair colour, if hair is dyed then it is just done by looking at your skin and eyes, so if your skin has yellow in it you are going to look good in warmer tones and if you have pink in your skin you will look great in blue tones, that means blue pinks and blue reds rather than orangy ones, if you see what i mean, Winters can have pale skin or deep skin eg, brown and deep coloured hair , and either dark or bright and clear eyes, they look great in black, white and bright reds, and blues, bold colours.
My eyes are very soft in colouring grey/blue and my skin has a pink tone, when i was younger my hair was a mousy sort of brown, but now the grey is creeping in fast lol :D.
Autumns are naturally warmer red in there hair and they look fab in warm browns and golds, and springs are like a middle ground between summer and winter, there colours are very clear like for instance the primaries look great on them as does turquoise, but what is interesting is that turquoise can be worn by all.

Yes, I see what you mean and I think you're probably right – I'm assuming your "diagnosis" was made at the SW get together last year on a dismal day in a restaurant basement! I was just hazarding a guess about myself and the winter thing, as I often turn "blue" with cold, and what you said makes perfect sense.

So earlier today having read your post and Alun's, I did a search on "colour analysis" and found this very interesting site:

http://www.colour-affects.co.uk/psyprop.html
This first link gives the psychological properties of colours and their spiritual values.

This other link on the same site was also fascinating, IMHO anyway:

http://www.colour-affects.co.uk/pertype.html
Gives personality types – 4 main archetypal groups.

Other links on there are to Colour in Fashion, and Residential Interiors.

I've bookmarked them all for a good read later, but was amused to notice while searching that one other site, which I shan't name, had quite the nastiest combination and use of colours that I've seen on any website in a very long time LOL – funny to find that while researching colour analysis. Oh, just my SOH.

Turquoise … probably my next favourite after "avatar pink", especially in summer, makes the most of a meagre suntan. I also used to wear turquoise in my dog-showing days, it being the perfect colour to make my dogs "stand out" in the ring and a great background to their coat colour – whether I was showing a tan one or a blue & tan.

I also love the autumn colours ... but in the trees, or on other people ... they're not in my wardrobe.

Laura.

RE: Colours

Watch out for new colours coming out too. I havent got the words to describe them, other than wonderous, vibrant, energizing, beautiful, serene and angelic

There will be a three tone colour coming out soon a mixture of blue pink and purple, all blended into one, with a shimmer effect to it.
My own opinions on this is that the divinbe are putting their energy into it

Quanyin
Archangel Michael
Zadkiel

Well all of them are having a go in the art studio in the sky:D
