RE: Colours

Isn't that strange, Sundana - those are the same colours I keep wearing right now!!! I cleared out all my maroon tops because I felt I wanted to be in brighter colours, but it keeps creeping back in! 😀 I am also wearing a lot of peach - handy since it's an 'in' colour right now.

I wonder what that says about our spiritual/personal development?

RE: Colours

Hi Lorraine

Well, I'm not exactly wearing these burnt oranges and maroons - because I haven't got any!! But I was in John Lewis in Norwich on sunday and in the furnishings dept they had a whole load of cushions in these colours and I was totally hooked.

RE: Colours

Hi there - I absolutely adore red - especially blood-red roses... but at the moment Im deeply drawn to deep violet and purple.... such an uplifting colour. I also love Gold - interesting given I've been told I'm a "winter" in colour terms and shouldn't wear anything yellow/gold based! (yellow makes me look sooo ill). However - Gold's a fab colour too!
love and light

Angel Light

Lol Laura, 😀 can't wait for those links

Well, don't hold your breath, sweetie, you might be disappointed 😀 Here are some links, then:

Firstly, two from HP, from last summer:

What colour are you drawn to?

Let's talk colours ... this was the long one (3 pages) where lightwinds (Wendy) gave lots of interpretations from her colour book. Some of you might remember this one ... Moonfeather and her penchant for peach, for instance.

Now, there's some really interesting synchronicity going on! About a week ago I accidentally wrecked the curtains that were in my sitting room when I moved in here. I'd never got around to changing them for some of mine ... until now. They were a rich brick red/brown sort of colour basically, in a modern design with black and white random jagged stripes and some grey splodges. Having binned them, I hung up a pair I'd made a few years ago and kept - a more traditional abstract floral in soft shades of blue, pink and burgundy.

Overnight, the whole atmosphere in the room changed to much more calm and peaceful, it was very noticable, though I hadn't noticed anything amiss previously ... not consciously, anyway;) Feng Shui?

Well, Angel Light, after I read your first post here this morning, I dug out the long thread started by lightwinds, of which I'd taken a copy ... and found this:

Reddish Brown or Terra Cotta
This is karmic color indicating past-life violence, it can indicate jealousy directed towards the individual. This color can represent a difficult challenge or lesson ahead for the individual to face and deal with. It may even appear to be a restriction or limitation to the individual until they willingly decide to correct errors they have made in the past, and forgive the errors others have made concerning them. Once this decision is reach, the burden or limitation is lifted

Aha, the colour of my ruined curtains. Then a little while later along comes Sunanda with this:

Unusually for me, at the moment it's burnt orange and dark yellow and rich browns, along with deep deep maroons and burgundies. I say unusually because I'm usually into blues, greens, lilacs etc....so I seem to be moving into my lower chakras!

Any connection there, I wonder?

Also for Sunanda ... I had meant to reply to your thread in the Books forum:

The unmistakable touch of Grace.

It was the clicking on coloured balloons aspect that prompted me to search onlinefor the Max Luscher Colour Test, which I found via Google, but did not get time to post (no change there, then!). I bought the book some years ago, which comes with eight coloured cards and, of course, much fuller interpretations. It's translated from the original German text and edited by Ian Scott.

This is absolutely not a parlour game or fun quiz ... rather, a serious
diagnostic and analytical "tool" which is used by doctors and psychotherapists as well as industry and in the job application selection process.

You can do the test here, clicking on the coloured squares in order of preference:

You actually do it once, and then again - though not attempting to repeat the first selection - and then you get the result. It's quite incredible!

I also found another version using a different range of colours, which was a new one to me:

Have you had your "colours done" by a professional consultant? I haven't, but think I must also be a "winter" in terms of what colours I wear - anything blue-toned is OK, but yellow-toned look
