RE: Bad past life regression experience?

Your memories do sound like an OOBE of some sort, Giles. And yes - 'twould be great to be a bird - so long as we had no predators...

The whole past life subject reminds me of a couple of true stories of young boys I read one time. The first was taken to a specialist of some sort by his parents when he inexplicably would keep wandering out into the middle of busy streets. It turned out that he recalled - without any hypnotism I believe - being an Irish-American traffic cop. He was just trying to do his job!

Another was a young Eskimo boy in a town in northern Canada who recalled a past life from a very early age. Walking with his parents along the sidewalk one day, on the other side of the road there was a very old woman. "Hey," declared the boy, "There's the old lady!" 🙂

The only reason I wasn't thinking it was an OOBE was because the surroundings weren't modern day. [&:]

I don't get your seconds story. What's so unusual about a kid seeing an old lady and saying "there's the old lady!"????

I was taught, and I believe, personally, that a human soul does not come back as an animal, insect, bird etc., but only human. Love Gxxxx

Ah. I wondered if the meaning would carry as text on screen without the longer story and context. The boy was talking in the vernacular of an adult, and remembered the wife he had left behind upon dying - "the old lady" as some husbands refer to their wives 😀 . The literature is full of such stories actually. This boy was just an infant too, so it must be bizarre for parents to hear them talking as if they were adults. By around the age of five the past life fades from memory in such cases and you have a normal child.

Dr Ian Stevenson is a world expert here and his site is at:

Or there are other sites such as

Many happy returns...

I don't discredit that humans may re-incarnate as humans but IMO it's perfectly possible that people may have also had past lives as an animal of some sort.

You've reminded me of something a friend's child said some years back...when he was about 4, if I recall... he presented her with a long list of animals he had been, along the lines of '"First I was a..., then I was a...' I can't remember it all now except one was as a shark and another as a fox. The list ended - "And now I'm a human." Then the little boy continued playing as if nothing had happened. My friend was dumfounded, couldn't think where he would have come up with such a list, which ran quite logically, so - explanation? Only one we could come up with was that sometimes an animal spirit can incarnate as human, perhaps as another progress of evolution?
