RE: Ascension

Me too...but at the moment I'm starting to feel that theres so much emphisis on how we should or shouldn't be, lists of emotions & feelings that we're told are negative & we should rise above them...I'm starting to feel that theres not enough focus on understanding ourselves first.

I quite agree, Amy - we can get stuck on the 'shoulds' and 'should nots' instead of focusing on the joy of discovering who we are, in our own time and at our own pace.

RE: Ascension

Perhaps I should explain why I think the recent use of tthe term "Ascension .... symptoms" is unfortunate.

There was a thread on "True Ascension" at
http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=48015&mpage=1&key=true%2Cascension

As I recall that got a bit controversial but then a lot of good ideas and concepts came forth.

One quote I used in that, and I'll paste it again since there isn't an online link just to it, is as follows. In reading this, one can get an idea of what "Ascension" really is. You don't get "symptoms" so that you have to go for healing. Of course people do indeed require healing. But once more I'd suggest it's for illness or because they are going through a change into a new awareness and adjustments are happening. However, real Ascension began with the concept that it goes like this as one example 😀 :-

------------------------------------

This morning in the month of May, Jesus was grateful for the beauties of earth and the fragrance of the springtime as He poured out His love to nature, to the earth, the water and air that had served Him, and also to the Sun. He watched it rise, knowing He was to follow its example that day. He made the call to the Lord Maha Chohan, the Comforter, to charge and maintain his disciples and keep them straight on the Path of Light.

Slowly Jesus started walking to the hill of Bethany, up that path Mary had made which was now still wet with dew. She had walked the grassy path to the flat rock at the apex, where she had the habit of going to pray, to make application, all during the time of Jesus being in India, and also during His mission when He was away from home. Through the energy of her daily contemplation upon her Son, calls or prayers, there was created a natural spiritual pathway or ladder of Light, heavenward. Upon this momentum Jesus was to ascend that day. He walked up that path into the realisation of the Oneness of His I AM Presence or Higher Self. The realisation drawn through Mary’s application at that spot had drawn through a focus of the Ascension Flame on which the beloved Jesus then rose to His eternal Victory. In Her outer mind She had not known what She had really built.

Now He walked up that hill alone on that Path of Light feeling her Love every step of the way. A beautiful shining Presence was He. His Love was a powerful Presence radiating throughout His aura. From his attitude all who were at his house were expecting something new and great to take place, all followed Him. People sensed it and followed Him no matter what they were doing. All the disciples were there and people kept gathering until there were about five hundred persons by the time they came to the foot of Bethany hill. Many came to wonder and question. All felt that expectancy of some revelation, event or miracle. One of the disciples said He was going to the hill to pray, but Peter said no, because since the Resurrection he no longer prayed as before, that He had no need of it since He was Conqueror over sin, human creation, satan, the world and death.

Jesus went to the rock at the top and when He stood on it He felt the currents of the accumulated adoration and Calls of Mary as a great rush of energy. He was so caught up in it that He could hardly wait till high noon, the time He was to leave the earth. At times His attention went downward and he would think of His Mother who had agreed to stay in order to hold the line of contact with the higher Realms, and of the disciples and followers who had absorbed so little of His Teaching into their consciousness, and wondered how a Christian Movement could be built on that. Then He would feel the pull of His God-Presence, thus being held between the two realms. Mary instructed the men to watch that the people did not follow Him up the hill, so He could have those last hours spent on earth alone for deep contemplation and communion with His God-Presence and the Great Ones.

Jesus has said that even when He was alone on Bethany hill there was still a choice. This shows that becaus

RE: Ascension

Thank you for re-posting that beautiful account, Venetian. I must confess to feeling extra wary when it comes to 'ascension' because of its true origins. Years ago I was given info on ascension and somehow, it never rang true for me.

I once had an 'ascension attunement' which, apart from a very interesting vision, appeared to do little. My teacher observed that "If you're not ready for a particular vibration or already there, then all the attunements in the world won't do a thing for you."

When it comes to 'symptoms', my Scottish pragmatism comes in and mutters, "But those can be normal when going through a period of adjustment and/or spiritual growth..."

I suppose I just worry that some people will get hooked on yet another label, like starseeds/earth angels/elementals etc and use it to reason away their unease instead of looking within to truly understand...

Blessings
