Accessing and experiencing our Higher Self
Before our physical creation we were perfect in every way. We were spiritual perfection, the spiritual blueprint upon which our physical body is formed.
We call this spiritual blueprint our Higher Self and we can access and experience this divine spirituality any time we wish. The power of creation, of our higher self and of life its self is the power of Unconditional Love. Its the cornerstone; the foundation upon which everything that exits or could exist is built upon.
We have access to our higher self at any time but the first step on our journey of ascension is the realization that our higher self exists, the role it plays in our spiritual and physical evolution and the way we can gain access to its power. Our belief not only creates it opens our eyes and allows us to see what already exists. Seeing does not always believe but we must always believe, or at least have an open mind before we can experience the power of our higher self. Belief, intention, and visualization act as filters that remove the illusion that exits in every moment in time and allow the reality to appear. Our physical eyes may be open but this does not guarantee us clear sight or perfect vision. We must open the eyes of the mind to the spiritual reality of our higher self.
God created man in order that s/he may experience their perfect state through the imperfection of free will that unconditional love has given us. Perfection is an absolute and as such, it can only know its true self as it emerges through and from its imperfect opposite. Good can only know it is so when it has something that is not perceived as good to compare it self to. Getting it right is meant to be a process, a work in progress we are neither expected nor required to be perfect. Trying to gain perfection in our physical form then punishing our selves when we fail (and we must fail) shows a lack of understanding in the evolutionary process between the physical and the spiritual.
Our physical form with all of its imperfections is necessary to enable order to come from disorder. Having chosen to enroll in the Earth bound finishing school we decide that we want to remain on earth with all of the pleasures this brings but we want the power and control that divine spirit would give us. We want to arrive without making the journey; we want to know without taking the time to learn, our ego wants to claim the best of both worlds.
Having created free will in order to experience disorder that comes from freedom of choice, having created us to give meaning to the experience of free will unconditional love requires that if God can experience his/her perfection through us then we must be able to experience our own spiritual perfection through the realization of our spiritual birthright.
What greater gift could unconditional love give us than the free will to choose our own way whilst providing us with the directions to find our way home and an open invitation to return when ever we are ready to? Our higher self contains all of the things we require on our journey back to our spiritual home. It provides us with a passport that shows our true identity as a child of light. It provides us with a message from home that lets us know how much we are loved and missed, and the celebrations planned on our return. It provides us with directions so that we can find our way home no matter how lost or alone we may feel it also provides us with companions physical and spiritual to help us on our journey home and to assist with the baggage we choose to carry in this life.
Our higher self is the still quiet voice that calls us home, that asks us to exercise our free will in a way that recognizes and honors our true self. Our higher self waits patiently for the moment when the physical self (lower self) and the spiritual self (higher self) begin to merge and experience one another.

You know, it doesn't matter how many times I read people's interpretations of spirituality, it still gives me shivers throughout my body!:D It really serves me well to get a reminder of what it's all about.
I totally agree with you Phillip; everyone will have their own experiences and although traits may be similar as long as we know we are in "tune" somehow with our higher selves, then that's exactly what we are, "tuning in". For me, it's like that famous phrase...."you don't know how you know, you just know you know".
The rollercoaster ride that is life is so intereseting to me now, compared to before when I felt the world just liked getting at me all the time. It sure helps to know that, for our highest good, we are totally supported by the universe.
