Hello everybody. I already posted in the URGENT thread up top, but perhaps this thread is better. I too am a JREF regular. I had not realised we were demons. 😀 (Can't find a horned smiley). I've registered openly, like Phildonnia and Ian. I've had a look around and yes this is a different place from JREF.
I don't plan to post much, just to observe mainly. See how the other half lives.
May I extend a warm welcome to anyone here to reciprocate?
One thing I notice (correct me if I'm wrong) is a strongly UK based orientation in this forum. JREF has a big UK contingent, but is international with a mainly U.S. bias. As a result of that cultural spread, and the big age range of posters, there is a huge range in styles and attitudes. Sometimes, we annoy each other. We certainly argue a lot. Sometimes, we misunderstand each other. Still, there's a lot of fun there, a lot of useful information and (you may find this hard to believe) a strong supportive network. Sceptics have families and crises too. We look in different places for our solutions, but we like hugs too.
So don't be shy, feel free to come over and snoop. There are lots of non sceptics there too.
Ian is indeed one. In fact, he's one of the best- if you like philosophy.

Hello Sam, Wecome to HP, no one thinks your Demons. If you go by the posting above about Archangel Michael, it's to bring some peace to HP again after all the upset from a few of your members. Anyone can join in the threads and have a good debate but a few peope from Randi forum went to far and HP won't stand for it. There's no need to personaly attack someone, including sending nasty PM's and this is what happen. So best thing is to move on and we can all begin again. If you go to new member forum you can tell us something about yourself and people will know what intrest you have and those who wish to share with you will, those who don't will keep away. And we also like big Hugs here on HP and also quite a family....that why Healthypages is the biggest well love forum on the net and growing everyday. Not everyone put's what country they come from ....but there is a wide range of people from all over the world. I been to you forum and i watch a person who was doing there best to offer a discussion on their paranormal beliefs, but some people were more intrested in her spelling and instant proof and quite rude.....i dont think she was given a fair chance.

Pleased to meet you. It would be nice if you introduced yourself formally in the 'new members' forum so that we know what your interests, etc are.
Sadly, there is much misconception of what spiritual beliefs and the paranormal are, and we mainly come to them through personal experience and sometimes life-changing experiences (not always to do with the paranormal.) Each belief is a personal thing and one cannot say that one is correct and one is not. We do lots of sharing and HP is made up of many members from around the world, we don't have a major bias, really.
Only certain members of the JREF forum were 'nuisances', not everyone was, Ian for example, is not. He is a sceptic, but a healthy one, someone who enjoys reading peoples' comments about the other side of life and maybe contribute to the discussions. He knows (I think) that science, materialism and the so-called 'supernatural' are very natural events indeed and are inextricably linked to one another.
It would be lovely to share ideas with you, and perhaps you can share some of your experiences with us, and maybe some of the happiness you bring.
