had the oddest dream last night.
dreamed that my friend from college (whom i haven't known long) was reading my tarot cards, the card i picked was a man and a woman facing away from eachother. she told me that it meant that i was being betrayed by someone close.
next thing i'm in a taxi with my baby daughter, she's in a car seat but i have no seat belt on. the taxi suddenly slams on as 2 young blonde haired women pull up infront of us in a red car (they are being chased by police) i hit the window screen and start screaming "is my baby ok?" taxi driver says "yes, she is protected, you are not"
next thing i'm at home with my baby, someone is trying to rob my house. i look out of the window and the taxi driver is there and says "we told you so, someone is trying to betray you"
i went in to college today and told m friend about the dream. she looked shocked and told me that she used to read tarot cards, but hasn't touched them since having her son. she had never mentioned this to me before and was surprised that i'd dreamed it.
what could it mean? is it that obvious or will there be a hidden meaning?
It is not necessary a love betrayal it could be betrayal at all sorts of levels, even a deep seated fear of betrayal could be clearing itself in your sleep.
The need to have a seat belt should be paid attention to. Don't become paranoid but intend to protect what is rightfully yours. Becomig aware of your sense of not being protected which in itself is a call for you to be proactive on that front. Do what you need to do and then rest and let it be
I'm intrigued by the taxi-driver figure. A driver is a guide and a navigator. The French 'conduire' (to drive) is related to our 'conduit'. And as a dream character he's come from somewhere inside of you.
He knows where he's going and when to stop. He returns when you're in trouble to tell you what's happening. He's matter of fact and isn't keeping anything form you. But do you know where he's going, are you leaving the destination in his hands? Perhaps he can guide and inform but he isn't shielding you.
Protection works both ways, it can be a way to spare you harm or it can be a way to keep you in the dark - perhaps you're afraid of leaving the familiar and opening your awareness. There are new things happening in your life, and they may be as daunting as they are exciting.
Your college friend may have mentioned tarot cards before, or you might have picked up on it somehow, or gravitated towards her as someone with insight at a time when you felt unsure of the future.
The dream comes from you, so the fear of betrayal is real, but whether the betrayal itself is real is harder to tell. The closest person to you is you.
where are you betraying yourself, your hopes, dreams, wishes?
