Gerbils

I dreamed that my partner brought home a cage for small furry animals. It was complete with wheel, water bottle etc and a little house for them to live in, but had no bars or cover of any sort to keep the animals in. at first I did not think there were any animals in it but later I found that it had what looked like 2 gerbils. One was small and light coloured, the other was much bigger and darker in colour. These may have been a pair, male and female. Anyway I took them both out of the cage and played with them. They were sitting on my head and shoulders and walking all over me (just like my hamster used to do in fact when I was a teenager). It was a vivid dream, and I could even feel their lttle feet and everything as if was really happening.

I start my new hours at work tomorrow, after a long struggle to get the hours I need (earlier starting/finishing times and no weekends). This means that with Colin's illness (which most of you I am sure will know all about) we will able to finally spend the time together that we need. I wondered if the symbolism of the cage, and the fact that their were 2 gerbils is anything to dfo with this, or does it have some other meaning that I am missing? Does anyone else have any ideas?
