Dreaming about children?

Hi everyone!

Twice this week I've had dreams where I've had a baby with me. The details are pretty vague on the first dream, all I can remember is I have a newborn with me who is mine. I didnt think to record any of the details as I usually just put dreams down to being 'dreams' and ignore them!

Then last night I had another dream and I had an older baby with me. The baby was still young, but he/she was in a pushchair so must have been a bit older. At one point I was crossing a couple of train tracks with the baby, and there was a train coming, and I wasnt sure whether I was going to make it or whether we were going to get hit. There was somebody on the side of the track that had waved me off (the colour red has just popped into my head, maybe the lady was wearing a red top or something!) shouting at me to be careful, that it wasnt safe, but somehow the baby and I avoided getting hit, and made it to the other side.

I'm not very well at the moment and woke at that point with a coughing fit, so dont know if there was any more of the dream to come or not!

Anybody know why I have been dreaming these dreams? I must admit that hubby and I are beginning to think about having children within the next year or so, but that has been at the back of my mind, its not been in my thoughts very much during the day at all!
