Vedic astrology

I've had my horoscope cast a couple of times in India. Now, without reading the Wikipedia link I've just posted I can tell you that the astrologer also tells you your birth star which is what you tell the priests in the temple when you have a puja done - so they can identify you to the gods, I presume. Other than that I know very little. The readings I had done were quite accurate though. I believe it takes a lot of studying before one can practise. Now to go and read my own link!

I'm a saggitarius in Vedic astrology instead of my western capricorn. It also told me my birth star, Anurada i think it was and it was velly interesting reading and very accurate in places indeed.:D

I've just tried that link, cl, and I'm relieved that it's come out the same as the ones I had done years ago. I'm too tired now to take in all the predictions etc. Some are not too happy at the moment. The worse one is the planet that runs for 2 and a half years! (Saturn I think without looking it up.) Says I'm going to have loads of misery! But others are more auspicious so I'm not panicking yet. Though as I've just had a row with my next door neighbour, who's also a friend, and one of the things that's written is something like 'falling out with friends' I have to say it's probably quite accurate! All in all it's a 66% good time at the min for me!
Will have another look when I've got a bit more time...
