I was just wondering whether anyone has studied with the BSY, in particular any of the massage courses. I recently started their Indian Head/Sports Massage course and have found the IHM techniques different from those I have read in various books. If anyone has studied with them how widely recognised are their qualifications and what did you think of the contents of the course.:). Thanx

RE: British School of Yoga (BSY)

I studied the BSY massage course last year. The local college courses are always full and I didnt want to wait another year to start learning. I eventually wanted to do on site massage, so did the BSY course as an introduction. When I applied for the on site massage course they told me the BSY course wasnt good enough, my local college wouldnt accept it either when i applied for the advanced course there. Basically, I wasted my money. The BSY course is useless. You'd be better off buying a decent book on massage and learning from that. All the material from the BSY is hand written or badly printed with useless diagrams. Id suggest attending college if you want to eventually practice, or like I said, if you just want to learn a little for yourself, buy a good book or video.

I agree with you about the course material. [sm=banghead.gif] When I originally enrolled they were offering two courses for the price of one (now I know why)[&:]
