The Master Key System by Charles F Haanel, originally written back in 1912, and you can get a version that includes not just the old text, but that has been rewritten in language that makes sense today...

This isn't just proclaiming the wonders of the Law of Attraction as you get with some modern books (and films like The Secret), but is a more practical week by week theory and practice.

I would agree there. This is a book you mentioned some time ago and i actually went and bought it, particularly for the original version.

I did not need to read all of it but understood what was needed. Its the first book on any form of healing/spirituality that i have even glanced for well over 15 years. So i knew there was something within those pages that i needed to find.

Lot of sense in there. it is your Spirit that is the real key not your human self!

For those that are aware/sensitive enough the original text is worth persevering with the energy surrounding the words is totally different.
Nothing is new; there really is no Secret 🙂

Thank you Giles, I have added them to my wish list.

What about the books by Esther and Jerry Hicks?

Esther/Jerry Hicks are along the lines of "The Secret" (I think they were involved in that too unless I'm mistaken), and whilst their words (and the words in The Secret) are inspiring and there's a lot that can be picked up from it, I personally find that there's too much focus on using LOA for material/monetary gain, which is a little too much focused on attachment imho. Don't get me wrong though, they're worth a read.

For a detailed look at how the Law of Attraction works, I'd recommend the Seth books by Jane Roberts, especially The Nature of Personal Reality. Seth was the first to say "you create your own reality." I don't think the term "law of attraction" is used, but all of these books describe how thoughts create our experiences.

This isn't focused on the law of attraction per se, but Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill is a great read, it focuses on how your mindset is what determines what happens to you, and gives you the basis to form a good mindset for 'attracting' the things you want.

Although I do think that the LOA is a bit far fetched, I prefer to think of it like changing your vision, so you see what you want in terms of opportunity, which will in turn lead you on the path you wish to take, which is kind of the idea that the book follows..

I hope you have fun with the topic, there are definitely some great things to learn! 🙂

That's exactly what it is (very well put Nick!).

Unfortunately some people miss that point and think they can just wish for something and it will happen/appear, then get all upset when nothing happens, and claim the LOA doesn't work.

Another interesting book is called "Law of Attraction" by Michael J. Losier - actually he should of called it 'the science of attracting energy' - very down to earth 🙂

"The Law of Attraction (universal energy around you that obeys the science of physics) is responding to the vibration you are offering. Right now, in this very moment, it is matching your vibration by giving you more of the same, whether positive or negative."
