May I ask if anyone has read: 'Excuse me - your life is waiting' by Lynne Grabhorn.? I have - about 3 times...and not sure if it contains the entire secret to life Lol....or is an impossible 'dream' to try and live up to, if you see what I mean, even assuming you'd want to throw everything into following her advice...
Yes, I do sound confused! It's an oldish book now ,and based around the LOA, but delivers quite a 'punch'
Just wondered what others may think about Ms Grabhorn's view on life....
I can tell you my views on the LOA. I think it is absolutely true - but a lot harder to put into practice than some books may make it seem. I also think that a lot depends on the intention behind what you are trying to attract to you. To use the mantra of Wicca 'Let harm be done to none'
As a hypnotherapist I get people to USE the LOA. If someone wants to be slimmer, give up smoking, be more confident, I help them to change their self image so they can 'see' themselves as slimmer, being a non smoker, being confident etc.. When they can see themselves doing that, they act as if they ARE that as if they believe they can achieve that.. and that does increase their chances of achieving what it is they want. I see that as the LOA in action.
Dies that help at all?

Thanks for your take on the whole LOA thing Tashanie. My views are similar - with a few reservations.
This particular book though is, as they say, 'something else!' Lynne Grabhorn takes no prisoners in her relentless push for positivity - she insists that we must do whatever it takes to be feeling good about ourselves - and life - at all times....only then can the good things start to happen. Phew! It's exhausting just to read ( And yet I did read it - 3 times.....) Not sure though that anyone could follow this stringent pattern for long!
I think you need to do what feels RIGHT to feel good about yourself. You might find a book called 'The art of brilliance' worth a read It is a very practical approach to feeling good about yourself and life.
Good luck
Thanks, will look this up and give it a go. x
This is similar to the shamanic view that you give power to those things that you concentrate on. Fine if you are giving power to health or to happiness, but some people include money in this - you keep focusing on money and it increases it's power over you. It becomes more important to you.
Life's more complex than many exponents of LOA like to admit.

Very wise words Crowan.
