Hi everyone
I have a very painful right breast. I've had a check and can not feel any lumps or bumps. Everything looks as it should be, but the pain is annoying. It is manily the underside and if I lean against anything or whatever, it hurts like crazy.
Was thinking mastitits (sp?), but will this not appear in both rather than just one?
RE: Painful Brest.
Hi Angel,
I am sorry to hear of you pain. I get it to and may i pass on some possibilities, not that you will necessary have the same but it may help you.
I have Mastitiis, in one breast only the right one. I have a cyst in there, lumpy that comes and goes, sometimes its linked to hormones, PMS othertimes its quiet and i dont notice it. your GP will be able to tell you more. i urge you to go and get a scan, ask GP for a scan on both breasts and this will show what it is. Most cysts are benign that is they dont cause any harm.
I tend to do the following which helps.
Rub some aromatherapy oil, namely Cypress and/or Juniper with a little almond oil, or aromatherapy massage oil. this has really helped my lump as last week my boobs felt like rockets! and the right boob on inspection by GP was like a melon! and bigger than the left one. I used to wake up with heavy boobs like torpedos, sticking out, this has since gone after massaging with the oil and cypress (only 1 - 3 drops) each evening.
the oil does something to the lymphatic glands in and around the chest. I also found out recently that when wearing a bra the elastic band that goes around the waist actually constricts the flow of lymphatic fluid around the middle torso. this is why we get pains in the chest, cysts, lumps etc. it is not the only thing, diet also plays a major role so cut down on caffeine, tea coffee and dairy stuff. i went onto goats milk and this did help, although now i am trying to just have hot water and one or two coffees a day.
the oils are good and i have found great comfort in not wearing a bra (just a vest/teeshirt 2 - 3 times a week. we always wear bras and they dont serve us any purpose what soever.
i hope this helps feel free to email me should you want any more info.
with love

RE: Painful Brest.
i forgot to mention, my cysts is just before the breast starts, try gently padding and proding the underarm in circular small motions until you reach the outside of the breast. this is where many hide and it is hard to feel them.
i cant lie on my front too much as it hurts and if anyone knocks me it stings, like a bee sting. just monitor yourself, regular gp checks help. and the aromatherapy too.

RE: Painful Brest.
Tammy, I was wondering about how you were getting on. Really pleased that the oils helped you. Just to say, Angel that the essential oils should be diluted at no more that 5 per cent strength, i.e. 5 drops per 10ml. Massage the breasts twice a day up towards the lymph nodes under the arms.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

RE: Painful Brest.
Hi Tamlamb
Thanks for the advice hun, I really can't feel a thing (apart from the pain) I oce had this when I was a teeneager and the doctor put it down to my bra's not been suportive enough.
Lately I been wearing a few new bras, strange but I am getting more headaches than norm too, and I did receently read bad bras cause headaches....not sure if that is true or what. lol
Anyhow, today I have gone back to wearing a decent suport bra and things feel a lot better. BUT I am going to have this checked out with my doctor too.
RE: Painful Brest.
try and stick to a bra that is comfy and better still go without a few hours a day, i take a bath around 8 and meditate, do a bit of yoga in the nude! very freeing on the old spirit...and i dont put bra on till morning.
i have heard some ladies sleep in their bras.......ppppppllleerrreeeze ladies this is so not right...let your boobies breath a little
the aromatherapies helped me no end. it is the only thing i have introduced that is new to my routine and it has worked wonders thanks for the measurements i just use 1 - 3 drops in a little carrier oil that fills my palm just enough....
love and light

RE: Painful Brest.
It made me think and laugh at ppppppllleerrreeeze ladies this is so not right...let your boobies breath a little.
It is true, I hate anything suffocating me, esp. bras, enough wearing one through the day, but not at night.
