Hi All

I think the media may well be interested in this in the next few months as October is breast awareness month.

I have heard about antiperspirants and razors being contributing factors to breast cancer.

I have only had it on the left side and was told it may be due to the fact that I am right handed and shaved my armpits. Now I don't bother. I used hair removing cream.

When I had my operation I was not to use any antiperspirent or deodorant whatsoever just wash regularly with a bowl and water. This may sound an easy task but following a mastectomy is extremely hard.

I discovered that my initial breast cysts were caused by wearing ill-fitting bras. The ill-fitting bra rubs on breast tissue and can cause a lump continuous wearing will make the lump get bigger this then results in a lumpectomy. This happened to me.

My cancer was just unfortunate but if I can prevent a young girl having a lumpectomy I will be happy. It is cheaper to wear a correct sized bra rather than obtain research on the subject.
