I tend to get allergies so have to be careful what make up I use around my eyes, but I cannot live without eye make up. I use waterproof mascara which involve a lot of (gentle) rubbing with make up remover on cotton wool to get rid of it.

I naturally have bags under my eyes so most of the time I look tired.

I feel my eye area looks old and wrinkly and wonder what I can do to make my eyes look better.

I am 42.

Hi Foxylady

I discovered a book a few years ago called Eva Fraser's Facial Workout and it has exercises that give you a natural facelift.

You should be able to take a few years off your looks with it. Try Amazon or a used book store for a copy as the original book is quite old now and I believe out of print.

I used it and it took about 10 years off me! No kidding! You have to follow the routines in order though, to get your face muscles used to working again. I had jowls ( don't know if I spelt that right) and all sorts, and it worked wonders. I still use the routine a few times a week and it only takes 10 minutes.

Hope this is helpful 🙂

Hi Alison

Are you allergic to sweet almond oil? If not i can't recommend it highly enough for removing eye-makeup. I use it daily in the shower and even when i have layers of mascara on, liquid eyeliner, kohl pencil and eyeshadow soaking my eye area and giving it a gentle rub in with my fingers loosens it all up so that it's removed with much less rubbing than any eye makeup remover i've used in the past. It also ensures that the skin isn't stripped in the process. I leave it on for a while before removing with a damp flannel so it has time to dissolve the makeup.

It is really difficult to eradicate wrinkles after their initial emergence around the eyes. So, taking extra care for the eye skin area to prevent and reduce wrinkles is the best way to fight signs of aging. As you age into 30s, the amount of Collagen and Elastin in the skin diminishes, fine lines, wrinkles, loose skin, and other signs of aging will begin to gradually appear. Taking preventive measures and protection, such as using an eye cream that delivers anti aging and firming functions before the signs appear or at its earliest onset is the best way to fight eye wrinkles.

When choosing an anti aging eye cream, look for one with a sufficient amount of active ingredients. The effectiveness of reducing wrinkles and fine lines depends on a sufficient amount of active ingredients (e.g. high strength Ascorbic Acid, Growth Factor, Retinol to name a few) to penetrate your skin and then saturate it.

You should also spend a few minutes everyday giving yourself a deep massage over skin around the eyes. Not only can this process enhance ocular circulation, but it can also reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark circles.

I hope this helps. 🙂

Let me start by saying I have tried almost everything on the market to get the results of skin looking youthful again. They were not inexpensive creams either—from $50 to $200 in price for 1 oz.—you get 2oz with Kur. There was always something lacking , or I was allergic to something they used in the cream. I am in my late 60’s, and let’s be honest—-would like to look 20 years younger—LOL. I tried Kur Beauty Anti-aging cream, and it was truly from the first day I had a glo on my skin I haven’t had in many years. I was so excited, I thought if this happened the first day, what results would this cream give me in weeks to come? I use it on my face, neck and eyes, and I see such a big difference in fine lines, sagging skin and lightening of dark spots. The biggest difference is my sagging eyes, as I thought only surgery would help me—and I wasn’t able to have that done—each day my eyes look a little better! I have never been so excited about a product before, and to know it is organic, and all natural is one of the biggest gifts you can give me! I could go on and on about this product but I will let you see for yourself, because I am sure like myself you’ve heard it before—-and thought yeah, yeah, yeah—but just know this product REALLY WORKS! Here’s looking young again!
