Hi there
I have eczema type rings around my eyes. It is worse closer to the nose. I have been putting E45 on it and trying to drink more water but nothing seems to relieve it. It is really irritating.
Does anyone have any idea what might cause it or anything I could use to help it?

RE: Dry Skin Around Eyes
Hi Pooky
I suffer with this sort of thing too. However after trawling the net I came across a really good product by Clinique :
exceptionally soothing cream for upset skin.
You can't put it actually on the eye, but you can put it around it, which I do.
It's rather expensive (£27) but as you only need to use a small amount at a time, it lasts for ages. I've found it was really good.

RE: Dry Skin Around Eyes
I occasionally have this problem, mostly on my upper eyes just above the crease in the eyelids and under my eyebrows.
I found that E45 did not help at all, unfortunately. Through a lot of experimentation, I found that Bepanthen (aka Bepanthol) cream really works to keep this dry skin hydrated. It is a cream for babies to prevent/treat nappy rash but don't let that put you off! I usually slather it on at night and use it sparingly during the day time.
I also find that an anti-candida diet helps enormously, so you might want to consider cutting out yeast, sugar and dairy products to see if this works for you too.

RE: Dry Skin Around Eyes
Hi Tania
I found I had to cream my arms and legs (especially behind the knees) at least three times a day.
A friend introduced me to a new lotion with tea tree oil call 'Renew' and is gentile for the entire body. Its naturally based and doesnt thin the skin like other eczema creams. It so natural my baby niece use it.
Ive used it for 3 months and has cleared my skin ill always use 'Renew'.
If you'd like more details your free to mail me anytime

RE: Dry Skin Around Eyes
hi, i had this problem a few months ago. It really got me down as my eyes looked really flaky and sore, however i went to the doctors who told me it was eczema and gave me some steroid type cream, which cleared the problem up after a couple of days!
