Hi Anja,
So sorry to hear that you're having that horrid flakey stuff. I've been there, know how disheartening it can be and like you would prefer to take natural above chemical. I've gone SLS (a suspected carcinogen) free, so that meant that I couldn't go for the tea tree shampoo, which some people recommend. My health food shop however recommended a shampoo with Rosemary essential oil - this is the key ingredient for helping with dandruff. You can find out more about the brand I'm using at: http://www.faithinnature.co.uk/indexpackage.asp .
Hope you sort it out soon.

An old remedy was coal-tar, but I think you have to use poly-tar now, shampoo. It works wonderfully well - I know cos I've used it in the past!
I have also found that avoiding all these fancy new shampoos/conditioners helps. I can't use Elvive, Fructis, Pro-V and several of the other big names because they kick off the old dandruff problem.

I use Polytar for my scalp P and it works well for me. It also is good for dandruff problems as well.
RE: dandruff is getting unberable
Stay away from the commercial shampoos, they all have SLS in them, which strips away the layer of oil on your scalp. Excellent advice from crystal cub, check out the website she's given you and go down to your local health food shop and look at their natural shampoos, always checking the ingredients for the dreaded SLS (it's generally the second ingredient listed)

Hi Anja,
I have very dry flaky scalp too. On suggestion from somebody from HP forum (can't exactly remember who - sorry), I am trying lavender shampoo from the site mentioned above. Only used it once so far, so will let you know how it goes.
