Hi there,
During aconsultation with amassage clientshe told me thather andhubbyare desperately trying to concieve andthey have been trying without any success for several months now,she is now starting to get a bit anxious and frustrated and although I feel massage will be great for pre-conception I wondered if anyone could recommend any other types of treatments or alternative therapies that could help them please?
Many thanks
RE: What therapies for pre-conception?
Hi JD,
Reflexology would be a good therapy to recommend. Many reflexologists do advanced courses in pre and post conceptual care - I'm doing a course in July.
A reflexologist would give extra attention to the reproductive organs and related endocrine glands - ovaries, pituitary, uterus, fallopian tubes for women and testicles, vas deferrens, pituitary. They would also try to understand why there was a problem in conceiving and work on that area eg stress, so the lungs, solar plexus and diaphragm would be worked on to provide relaxation.
I've read of two cases recently where reflexology has helped couples who otherwise had problems conceiving.
Hope this helps.
Sx
RE: What therapies for pre-conception?
Hi Sarah, Thanks very much for your reply and recommendationfor reflexology. Funny cos reflexology did flash through my mind at the time during my clients consultation. Anyway I will let them know now. Thanks again;):DGood luck with your advanced course on pre & post conceptual care in July.
Has anyone else got any other ideas which may help?, any suggestions will be much appreciated.:)
With much thanks.
RE: What therapies for pre-conception?
I have found that a couple of Reiki treatments usually do the trik. They put the body in balance and reduce the stress of trying for a family.
RE: What therapies for pre-conception?
I would also advise her to try reflexology. To be honest a few motnhs is no time at all, if she's been on the pill or depo, it may take her body a little while to adjust. If she'd been trying a few years, then yes, preconceptual care may be advisable, at this stage, it's worth doing just so that things are done well, but as yet, no reason to panic.
To be honest, a good diet and clearing toxins out are the best way to start. Getting the nutrition right really does help.
Foresight are a good place to look for information and advice.

RE: What therapies for pre-conception?
Hi JD![sm=wave.gif]
As others suggested on this thread, reflexology and nutrition are highly recommended to women who are trying to conceive and so is acupuncture: I have heard statements of women trying to conceive for months and managing to get pregnant very quickly after acupuncture treatments. I am not saying it works each time, but it has a very high success rate. Hope it helps.
