I haven't posted for such a long time, but always hovering, so hello everyone. I noticed a members concernafter steriods assisted her in a weight gain. I too was on steriods and gained almost 4 stone in weight,a balloon face and mashed brain. Thankfully, it lasted for5 months.While I also need azathroprine for the long term. I'm dealing with chronic ITP. an autoimmune problem.my current platelet count is a giddy 130.
It was dignosed after it dropped to, 1. this was 4 years ago.
One thing my specialist stated at the first stage of azathroprine, was that it didn't cause weight gain. I have wondered if it held the fluid or something that prevents the weight from falling off.
I'm always being tested for thyroid problems.
My next test is this month.
