What is to be made of someone or a small group of people who harass and humiliate you before they dump you? Even if you are glad they are gone, you wish you had the upper hand in dumping them? TIA for responses.
Hello Startingtoheal,
I can only imagine it is ego that is making you feel this way. I can relate as it was recently my decision to end my relationship with my long term partner (he's one of life's good guys just not good for me) and although it was my decision the ego part of me feels like he should be on my doorstep with armsfulls of flowers and chocolates asking me to reconsider, which lol knowing him he will be by next week but that's another story.
You sound naffed off and I am sorry for you here is a hug (((( ))))
Can you be a little more specific?
Love

Thank you for the hug. 🙂
Yes, being humiliated at a party where I was asked to be invited but once there, was not made to feel invited.
Hello Startingtoheal,
Well that's not a nice experience, can you not talk to the people involved? I had a similar experience a few months ago and posted on here, I think it was Sunanda who advised me that sometimes when people get together, especially if there is alcohol involved it leads to a kind of pack mentality and a group will gang up on an individual.
I don't know how well you know these people but if it is possible I would say invite hem round and explain how their behaviour made you feel, if this is not possible for any reason then all I can say is put it down to experience I know doing this is a lot easier said than done because when people hurt us we want to have our say or the last word. Another thing you might like to consider is that often it's not the experience of something that hurts so much as our reaction to it, we have a choice whether or not to carry it round with us or we can have a day or two of feeling bad then just say 'enough now' and move on.

That is what I did, I politely excused myself then up and left at the time. After that, no more contact with the people in question. Thank you again for your response.
