RE: onslats (spelling)
Hiya Flower Happy,
do you mean Osgood Schlatters Disease rather than 'onslats'??? Perhaps it is a slang term or abbreviation of some kind?
I was told that I had the condition by a GP during my teens as my knees became painful for a period of time. I was told (not sure if this is correct) that it is an inflammation of cartillage in joints (particularly knees) that has not completely formed into bone, so generally effects teens more than adults. I have found a (not very good unfortunately) link that I have included below...

Hope this is of some help!

RE: onslats (spelling)
Hiya again Flower Happy,
It did not really carry over into adulthood. I guess it was a very mild form. My knees crack daily... my left one more often, but my right onequite painfully so when it does... but I am sure that this is not uncommon anyway. My spine was never effected.
I hope your friend finds some help in this.
Love & Blessings! 🙂

Nice one Vegan Soul, that's exactly my first thoughts when I saw title of Thread.
If started in childhood then may well be possibility, but not usually carried onto to later life & other areas.
There may be some sort of inflammatory/ connective tissue problem going on. Please - Flower Happy - don't assume the worst, as it's quite possible that an adaptive posture & use could have maintained the problem and had a knock on affect on the spine.
Some more info might lead to some other ideas, butI don't call in that often. Would suggest getting checked out by an osteopath or chiropractor.
Andrew.
