You might need to check out your trainers. Are the laced too tight across the top of foot. You may be restricting the circulation in foot.

This happened to my daughter - she changed the way her trainers were laced and it made all the difference. She also resorted to using the cross-trainer 'barefoot', which was not appreciated by the gym staff!

If you're trainers are slipping then you probably have the wrong size. You shouldn't have to do up your laces so tight that your toes are numb.

Hello Sarah,
Thankyou for your reply. I do have the right size(within reason) i have a wide foot so i have to buy a size bigger to allow for this.....i dont think my numb feet are all down to my laces being too tight....ive had this many years ago aswell....(didnt have my laces tight then)

Hi Rachel,

Is the numbness the same on both feet? How long are you exercising for when the numbness starts?

I think it's possible that you may be learning forward too much and putting pressure on you toes.

Hi Myarka,
Its just on a couple of toes mostly on my right side. Im not sure if i could be leaning as theres a proper plateform for you feet which also a inch high ledge which stops your feet from moving about....its hard to describe....

Thanks for your reply

Hi Rachel,

I've seen people leaning slightly forward on cross trainers, that's why I asked.

The reason why I asked if it was worse on one side than the other is because it may be because you've broken a leg in the past?

Myarka.

Hi Rachel,
long time no speak!
which toes especially as there is both muscular and fascial link that could be the root cause, the foot position is important as it places bias on particular muscles, there is also a tendency on XTs to be too far back, hence leaning forward,
will check back later but now its time for the tax return...............
