New user. For quite some years now i have suffered from ear problems. It goes through stages where times it is worse than others. I have seen ENT's who all tell me the same thing, there is nothing wrong with my ears, yet i can tell you there is.
I get ringing ears which sometimes cause them to feel full and blocked for hours at a time.Generally it is only 1 ear when it happens. When the weather is humid my ears also are guaranteed to play up, to the point where it feels like they are cringing from sound, its like a quiet hissing noise that is very irritating, this weather also makes them feel blocked!
I have seen doctors who always seem to say i have fluid in them and i am given antibiotics which never seem to help. I also have constant yellow mucus with blood in it, in my throat and nose.
I dont eat dairy because i thought this was making me worse, though no change, though something im eating is still going through me. i get a light headed dizzy feeling and stiff sore neck too, though all these symptoms are not all the time. I do have to sleep practically sitting up as if i lay flat i spin.Doctors seem to think this is anxiety related?
Have had sinus scan and ct with dye done and they have found nothing.
What am i missing, any one have any idea what is wrong with me?
Doctors seem to think this is anxiety related?
Hi,
If you've had all the tests then it is quite possible that the symptoms are anxiety related.
I think it's one of the hardest things to accept that anxiety/stress causes real symptoms.
Therefore, go back to your doctor, take your patner/close friend with you, and ask your doctor for a course of CBT to deal with the underlying anxiety issues.
Myarka.
I think it's possible to help, as I had succes for inner ear case with an acupuncture.
I can compose scheme simple enough to do yourself as the points may be on fingers joints or around the nails.
Just marking the points by a colour pen already may help.
The ringing at moist weather seems quite logical.

So will acupuncture help dry the fluid in my ears? Is that what is affecting my ears in the humid weather?

It will, though I can't say to what extent if you are not using full-scope treatment by needles.
But this can also be done by a patient himself, as one may use
a pine/spruce needles or any thorns fresh or dry (they are also sold sterilized and packed for acupuncture).
One even doesn't need to prick the skin, just insert in a piece of tape and tape it onto the point for the tip to touch the skin.
Anxiety, mucus, stiff neck, relapse at humid weather - indicate the excess of Dampness = "fluid".
hi
I m also hurting my ears badly these days, and it looks pretty much related to my jaw imbalance where one side is going too far into the skull. But what's weird is that the pain has worsened with the weather (and it is not even cold, so it s not temperature related).
An osteopath-dentist told me it s like Im perforing myself my skull, which obviosuly made me quite scared!
I also have a stiff neck, and (although not frequent) ringing ears.
Ive even had the spinning while lying down, and only when I wanted to lie my head down.
I think your problem could come from some bone/joints misalignment; have some xray of your skull and jaw, there might be something there. and see an osteopath that has been trained in cranial problems.
I too had mucus problem in the past....especially when it was damp. Id say stop all sugar and/or wheat and see what happens.
the blood in the mucus doesnt sound great..I hope you re feeling a bit better.

I have ringing in one ear and I cannot hear properly out of it. This sort of started after a bad cold. I didn't worry as it cleared its self, but then it went again then came back again. Now though it has been gone for some time.
Can you explain more fully what you are suggesting to do.
Thank you
I certainly don't want to alarm anyone, but have you considered the cause may be titanus or menierre's syndrome. My wife suffers from menierre's and the beginning symptoms were similar to yours.

The acu points have a pine needle taped on it, tip touching
the skin, no penetration, at certain angle, which determines
action: sedation, tone up or control.
Much easier to give the points to treat, on the diagram, and
a guidance (like in some of my previous posts).
I need full list of symptomes, as this determines what points to
choose.
Right now, if you tell the date this started, and dates it was
coming back, there can be already 1 treatment scheme.
I realise this won't help everyone but I have found the solution to my ringing in ears/hearing loss.
I read about this on the internet of course. I bought some garlic oil capsules used three at time. Pricked them to get the oil out then got small piece of cotton wool and dipped it in the oil. Then put this in the ear overnight.
Next day I sort of felt a movement inside the ear. I know they tell you never to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear but I needed to know if anything was happening. I used cotton buds and had a bit of a rake round (not too far though) and I got out loads of dark brown wax.
I repeated this for the next couple of nights still getting out the wax.
Now I am happy to say my hearing is back to what it was and the ringing has gone.
I hope this may help some people although of course not all.
