Hi
I have a client who has a large lipoma on her knee. She is on a 9 month waiting list for its removal as it is non urgent but would prefer no surgery at all - she has been told it will involve a large scar across her knee. Recently its size has resulted in some awkwardness in kneeling and now there is inflamation and fluid forming around the lump.
Does anyone know of any therapy that may be able to reduce this lump without the need for surgery? As a Bowen therapist I believe that apple cider vinegar may reduce the inflammation and swelling however any other suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Lin
RE: Lipoma
I know of nothing else that will reduce it.
They are benign & most can be left alone, but if it's getting inflamed & it's interfering with the function of the knee, then it would be best taken out.
I'm sure this could be done with a local anasthetic if you clients fear is that of general anaesthesia.
