Hi
Since my daughter was a baby (now 5 1/2), whenever she has a sore throat or generally unwell she develps a red rash on her cheeks/chin. It starts off as a small red patch and then goes blotchy and pinky red. It is dry to touch but does not cause her any discomfort.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas/experience of this (docs ain't much help)

Hi Lisa, I can't offer any medical advice but when my oldest son was younger he used to get a little rash everytime he got a cold or something, usually on his arms & tummy, I was forever taking him up to the doctors to get it checked, our doctor explained to me that a virus (ie a cold) can often show itself as a rash in young children so after that I assumed it was quite common & stopped worrying, he's 10 now & no longer gets the rash when he's unwell

Thank you, that is good to know as sometimes it looks quite bad!!! Bless her it's all inflamed again this morning but good to know it is nothing to worry about 🙂

Hi Lisa, if you're worried take her back to the doctors & insist that he/she gives you an explination or even some cream to put on the inflamed areas
