Hi

I have recently met a lovely lady, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She is having tests tomorrow as there is a worry
about liver and chest.

I have heard about a plant diet and wondered if
anyone has tried it or know more about it?

LOVE & LIGHT
XXXXXXXXXXXX

Never heard of that but there is a book about an irish woman who overcomes breast cancer by following a strict vegetarian diet. I forget the name of the book. If you remind me I can find out tonight...

Think what you may be looking for is Your Life in Your Hands by Professor Jane Plant, printed by Virgin Books, ISBN number: 0 7535 0596 7

In it is lots of advice about breast cancer treatment, plus dietary advice. I bought the book when I was being treated in 2001, and read it diligently- I triedbut could not stick to the advice. I would have failed at the first hurdle, as the only thing I could face eating during chemo was fried eggs on toast!!! I also drank milk. Herbal tea? No thanks!

I'm at home! [link= http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0007195214/qid=1131194071/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_10_1/026-3160325-8061216 ]http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0007195214/qid=1131194071/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_10_1/026-3160325-8061216[/link]

Please note I have only flicked through it - I haven't had a chance to read it yet... it might be rubbish.

Survivor- I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. When you mention the 'Plant Diet' do you mean having amacrobiotic diet? There have been some documented results about cases that have responded well to this, but as with all things, I would proceed with caution:D
