Does anyone have any advice for postural training?
I have recently started becoming more aware of my body and 'listening' to it. I feel that I am standing in a S fashion (from the front) and also my pelvis tilts forward a long way. ie it isn't nuetral, and my bum and stomach poke out.

I also feel that I have a problem around the C1-C2. like my head isn't quite sitting in the atlas properly. Does anyone know how I can correct this.

Many thanks.

RE: Posture

Not an expert but The Alaxander technique is making yourself aware of your posture.

Someone I study with has used this and not only has it made her stand and sit better but its done a lot for her confidence too.
My leacturer used it to become confident in speaking to groups(and now shes a leacturer lol):D

RE: Posture

Willemail you with set of Yoga stretches which are great for posture and back work if you like.Have been doing these exercises on a daily basis for the last 20 years - I have a chronic spinal disease and they keep me going. But you will need to send me a normal email as can't send attachments via HP.Will PM you my E mail address.

RE: Posture

I go to 5 classes a week, 3 x Yoga, 1 x pilate, 1 x tai chi.
for unavoidable reasons I have only managed to get to one yoga class a week
for the last 3 weeks/
The result has been a return of back pain, stiffness etc.
So on that basis I would highly recommend regular sessions of yoga, pilate and if you fancy tai chi, will help a back problem.
Hope this helps.
