Please help.
I bruised my coccyx whilst snowboarding about 3 weeks and I feel that the pain is getting worse. When I sit for too long is when it is at its worse. Other than taking pain killers is there anything else I can do and does anyone know how long it takes to recover??

Hi
That sounds very uncomfortable. Ice can help to reduce inflammation, and you could try taking arnica supplements or using a gel to ease the bruising.
I have no idea how long the recovery time is, I guess its dependent on your own body. I imagine the muscles around the area will be in spasm, so doing certain stretches in that area should also help the general area.

Sorry I cant be more specific!!

Amie

When I bruised (?broke) mine, I had no complimentary support and it was 18 months before I could sit comfortably!!! ice packs and arnica should make a big difference ...

All the best

About 3 weeks ago? and the pain is getting worse. You should see your GP ASAP.
