Hello,
I seem to be allergic to freshly cut grass, not sure why. Unfortunately for me it's that time again, the lawn needs a trim . How can I do this chore and avoid the red, itchy, watery eyes and nose and lots of sneezing?
Can I get a full face mask or something along those lines?
It normally takes me a couple of days to recover.
Any suggestions?
Just use those dust masks designed for decorating, cheap and effective. But be carefull not to get cut grass on your skin.
HTH,
Myarka.
Antihistamines (prior, couple of days maybe) for prevention ?
Someone else to do it for you maybe - that never fails!!
Hi Caster
Its hay fever time Im afraid, but this little trick may help you.
Get your self one of those paper masks that you might use for sanding down wood etc; most good DIY shops will have them. Sprinkle onto the mask 3 drops of Essential Oil of Camomile and 3 drops of Eucalyptus oil. Alternatively place a boiled Camomile tea bag in the mask over night and remove it before using the mask.
You should also boost your vitamin C intake at this time of year. About 3 grams per day should suffice.
If this works, you can come and cut my grass too!!
Good Luck
