Putting shamanism under "therapies" has a couple of problems attached:

1. It gives the impression that this is all there is to shamanism and, therefore, that shamanic healing is something that can be studied in isolation. If this is your viewpoint, why is shamanism not included in the Therapy Guide?

2. It gives nowhere on the forum for discussing wider philosophical/spiritual questions. I apreciate that this is first and foremost a therapy forum, but other belief systems have areas. (Just in case you are wondering, although shamanism in the U.K. has things in common with Paganism, they are not the same.)

Maybe there could be a Shamanism as a spiritual practice/religion bit under "spirituality" in addition to the area under "therapies" - or maybe just as a sub-set in the "Shamanism" area.

Or maybe I'm the only one who would be interested?

a) Shamanism has always been under the Therapies section of this site, after all it's a Complementary Therapies website primarily. 😉
b) The Therapy Guide is a new feature and is still under development I believe. It could also be that the site administrator doesn't have any content to include in that area, so if you have something you'd like to contribute why not contact them using the "Contact" link at the bottom of the page. 🙂

I think we have a general spirituality forum and we also have a philosophy forum, so it could be discussed under either of those if required. New forums would certainly be considered by Admin if there appears to be a need for them, i.e. a lot of discussions taking place about a particular subject that don't really have an ideal place. Having moderated this forum for some years now, I've seen the odd shamanism post being made in the existing shamanism forum, but not really seen any demand for it in any other place. Of course I'm happy to be corrected, and the Admin have the ultimate say in what forums are created.

All Love and Reiki Hugs

In my opinion Shamanism forum should find space in Mystical block instead of Therapy space.
